Jean Hellyer is an Enrolled Agent (EA), federally licensed to represent taxpayers before the IRS. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from Indiana University and brings over 29 years of experience in tax and accounting. Since opening her Padgett Business Services office in 2009, Jean has helped countless small businesses and individuals navigate their financial responsibilities with confidence and clarity.
Jean’s background includes extensive work in areas such as tax planning and preparation, general ledger accounting, accounts payable, inventory, banking, rent, and unclaimed property. She has served clients across a wide range of industries—including insurance, retail, restaurants, construction trades, and a variety of other service-based businesses. Her depth of experience allows her to understand the unique financial and operational challenges that small business owners face.
As a business owner herself, Jean is passionate about helping entrepreneurs succeed. She is committed to providing personalized, high-quality service delivered with integrity, value, and care.
When she’s not working with clients, Jean enjoys spending time with her expanding family, including her grandson. She and her family love outdoor activities such as camping, hiking, biking, and pickleball. Jean is also a devoted dog mom to two pups, including her border collie, Willow, who loves showing off her tricks. You might even spot Willow visiting the office from time to time – she’s a beloved part of the team!

Chandle is a licensed Enrolled Agent serving clients primarily in the Syracuse and Davis County areas. With over 20 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, and tax preparation, she specializes in helping individuals and small businesses navigate complex tax matters and develop strategies to minimize tax liability.
Since earning her Enrolled Agent designation in 2018, Chandle has been dedicated to providing personalized, knowledgeable service tailored to each client’s unique needs.
Originally from Lake Havasu City, Arizona, Chandle and her husband moved to Utah, where they've embraced the beauty of the changing seasons — especially the quiet magic of a fresh snowfall. Together with their three children, they love exploring the outdoors, whether it's camping, kayaking, or hitting the trails.

Jake serves as an Accountant at Padgett, where he plays a key role in processing client accounting work and preparing tax returns. He joined the firm in November 2021 and has been a valuable part of the team ever since.
Originally from Indiana, Jake earned his degree in Financial Counseling and Planning from Purdue University in West Lafayette in 2021. After relocating to Utah, he quickly developed an appreciation for the state's scenic beauty and vibrant lifestyle.
Outside of work, Jake is an avid sports fan and enjoys watching games both in person and on television. He also spends time in the outdoors and particularly enjoys bowhunting in the mountains of Utah.

Laurie is an Enrolled Agent. She has assisted small business owners with accounting and tax preparation for eight years now. As the former owner/operator of a large pet boarding facility, she understands the many hats small business owners must wear as well as the long hours it takes to make that business successful.
Laurie works remotely from her home in Southern Nevada. In her leisure time, she enjoys training and competition with her Belgian Malinois dogs.

Sara is our office assistant and handles all your payroll questions as well as processes all of the firms payrolls. She can also direct you to the appropriate person to help you in our office.
She has over 11 years of experience assisting business owners with their day to day tasks. She also has experience processing payroll and workers compensation audits for small businesses.
She resides in Syracuse with her Husband and 3 boys (whom are all growing up way too fast and leaving the nest). As well as her dog Luna. She enjoys all the recreation Utah has to offer, hiking, snowshoeing, pickleball and boating on the lakes. She and her family enjoy annual trips to hike & explore the beautiful national parks.
